To be a professional gamer in 2018, every aspect of your game needs to be analyzed and requires continuous improvement. One thing you cannot leave to random is mouse friction, and since most mice used by professional gamers are wired, a mouse cord creating unnecessary friction on your table could be the deciding factor between hitting or missing your shot. That’s where a mouse bungee comes in.

No Compromise Winner
The BenQ Zowie Camade is definitely your best option if the price is not an issue for you. It is relatively expensive, but for the price, you get a well designed, high-quality product that is used a large majority of pro CS:GO players. By buying a Zowie product, you know that the product will be manufactured out of high-quality materials and that it will most likely be approved by many pro players. The Zowie Camade wins our No Compromise prize for being the best mouse bungee on the market.
Budget Conscious Winner
The aBell Mouse Bungee takes the cake when it comes to bang for the buck. It comes in at a few dollars cheaper than the Zowie, but features a similar design and anchor system. Although the Zowie uses higher quality materials and just has an overall better build quality, if it’s out of your budget, we definitely recommend the aBell Mouse Bungee. The aBell Mouse Bungee wins our Budget Conscious prize for being the best bang for the buck mouse bungee on the market.
The Top 10 Mouse Bungees for 2018 Reviewed
We have compiled a list of the top 10 mouse bungee’s currently on the market in 2018.
Zowie has for a long time been the go-to brand for professional esports athletes, with their innovative and high-quality products, Zowie has been pushing esports forward single-handedly. The Camade is no exception, it features an adjustable metal spring system, which is something unique to the Zowie’s design. Coming in at 8.5 oz / 240 grams, it is one of the heaviest bungees in our review and won’t move at even the heaviest of cable yanks. With it being a winner in so many categories, it’s no surprise that over 50% of pro Counter Strike: Global Offensive players make use of it. You cannot go wrong with the Zowie Camade.
The NPET Gaming Mouse Bungee is a new addition to the Top 10 Mouse Bungee Review. It’s fairly large and has a handy 4 port USB HUB, unfortunately it’s USB 2.0 and not USB 3.0. It features Blue LED lighting and an interesting design. The mouse bungee arm is made from rubber and should last quite long. For Esports it is quite large and flashy, therefor I strongly advise to go for a smaller mouse bungee, such as the Agile-Shop Flexible Mouse Bungee which is available around the same price point.
The aBell cord holder features an all black plastic bottom with a metal spring mounting system on top to hold your mouse cord. It features the same loved and tested design of the Camade, but managed to deliver the package at a much lower price point. Unfortunately one does miss out on the variable height adjustment of the Camade, but that is a feature which most players might not have made use of anyways. Weighing in at an earth-shattering 8.8 oz (259 grams), it’s the heaviest bungee in our review and outweighs its nearest rival, the Zowie Camade, by over 0.3oz (8 grams). Although this might hurt your shipping costs, the added weight ensures no unexpected or unnecessary movement while playing and is definitely a big plus. The actual anchor being used is the same plastic clipping system we’ve seen many times before and should ensure that your cable doesn’t move inside the anchor while playing. The aBell Mouse Bungee is available in the Black and Red as seen above, White, and Black and Yellow, giving it the most customization out of any of the bungees in our review.
Cougar is one of the newer brands in the esports scene compared to the giants of Razer and Zowie, but they have recently been bringing out high quality and esports ready gear which has been getting them a lot of attention. The Cougar Bunker Gaming Mouse Bungee is no exception. It features a very innovative vacuum mount system, something none of the other mouse bungees offers. Even though it’s one of the lightest mouse bungees on the market right now, it’s vacuum system allows it to anchor itself to your desk, ensuring that there is no slippage or movement while you are taking the B bombsite.
The mounting point is an all black plastic design, with some metal details to give it a much more premium and solid look. The anchor point is made 100% of rubber and should be capable of holding most mouse cables. Unfortunately, due to the angle of the rubber, I fear that long-time use might cause the Cougar Bunker‘s anchor to start deforming and losing rigidity, especially in hot climates. It is important to note that the vacuum system will only work on flat surfaces and will not stick to any cloth table covers or uneven surfaces. Unfortunately due to its reduced weight, if it is unable to vacuum properly, you are better off using it as a (very light) paperweight.
As probably the biggest brand in esports, Razer’s mouse bungee has been on the market for quite some time now. It’s definitely stood the test of time and there is a reason why it is still on the market today. Although I believe they might be bringing out an RGB variant in the near future, the ‘plain’ Razer cord holder should still be able to do exactly what its been doing for the last few years, reduce mouse pad drag and improve your aim. The Razer Mouse Bungee features a solid black plastic design at the bottom with a subtle Razer logo on top, while the anchor is an all black metal spring design. The bottom of the base is extremely sticky and will almost glue itself to any flat surface you place it on. Unfortunately, the anchor point is fairly small and might have issues holding thicker mouse cords, so keep this in mind when picking your bungee.
The Tt Esports Galeru is Thermaltake’s first attempt at making a mouse bungee for the gaming market, and for a first attempt, I think they did quite well. It features an all black plastic base with large sticky pads at the bottom and a subtle red Tt eSports logo on top. The anchor consists of a curved rubber piece with a slit at the top for your mouse cord. It has a magnet holding the anchor in place, allowing it to be removed during transport which should ensure no unnecessary damage is caused to the soft rubber piece. A very nice feature for the travelling esports competitor.
As its own name describes it, it’s generic. The AOBOR mouse bungee is one of the more budget orientated cord holders in our review and comes with no bells & whistles. It has a somewhat similar design as the Razer mouse bungee, featuring an all black plastic base with a silver metal spring anchor system to hold your cord. It weighs in at around 4.0 oz (113 grams) and comes with 3 small somewhat sticky feet on the bottom. Although this might be a great budget option, I fear it might not withstand the test of time. It’s so-so build quality and cheap materials are known to fail after a little bit of use. So unless you truly can’t afford something better, I wouldn’t recommend it to any serious competitors. You’re better off going for something like the aBell mouse bungee for just a few bucks more.
The ENHANCE LED Gaming Mouse Bungee is the first of two LED mouse bungees featured in our review. It features a 4 port USB 2.0 hub, 3 small rubber feet and a very tall silicone anchor arm. It’s available in 3 variants, Green LED, Red LED and Blue LED, but unfortunately is not RGB. Fortunately, the bungee is quite heavy at 7.5 oz (212 grams) and makes up for its small feet because of this. Although I wouldn’t recommend this for the esports athlete, if you are a casual-focused gamer playing from home most of the time, this might be a great item to go with your colour coordinated setup. The Silicone arm is removable and the lights can be switched off via a switch at the bottom.
The Agile-Shop Flexible Mouse Bungee is the second budget focused mouse bungee in our review. This one is priced at around the same price point as the AOBOR Generic Mouse Bungee and features a very similar design. The bungee is available in a variety of colours including Black, Red, Yellow, White and Blue. Unfortunately, it carries a lot of the same drawbacks as the AOBOR Mouse Bungee, including the bad build quality, small rubber feet and low-cost materials. Again, unless you are on a budget I wouldn’t recommend picking one up. Rather spend a few dollars extra and pick something up you know will be capable of withstanding the abuse of being transported and used a lot, such as the aBell mouse bungee or if you are capable of spending a few more bucks, the Razer mouse bungee.
The Airfox Gaming HUB features a stylish grey colored design on the bottom, with a red logo and cutouts for the LED lights to shine through. It comes with a large removable anchor, which should be capable of holding most mouse cords. It also features a 3-port USB 3.0 HUB, 1 TransFlash port and a USB 2.0 Micro B port. It is also the heaviest mouse bungee we’ve seen to date, weighing in at 1 pound (453 grams), it is almost double that of its closest competitor. Although the RGB lights inside are capable of outputting 7 different colors (Green, Purple, Yellow, White, Red, Deep Blue, Sky Blue), they unfortunately aren’t controllable and just cycle through on their own. I wouldn’t recommend this to the traveling esports competitor, but if most of your gaming is done from home and you are looking for something more than just a mouse bungee, you can’t go wrong with the Airfox 3-Port USB 3.0 Data Gaming HUB.
Metal Spring vs Rubber/Silicone
The metal spring system is considered to be the best for mouse bungees. If implemented in the right way, they will last a lot longer and also provide a more consistent feel. Although you should watch out for cheap and low-quality mouse bungees with a metal spring anchor, as they will fail quickly. Rubber or Silicone anchors will be influenced by the climate you are in and will also wear out over time.
Weight is a very important factor when picking your mouse bungee. The heavier the better, except for when it comes to the Cougar Bunker. If you often make very aggressive and large flicks or movements, I would recommend you go as heavy as you can. If you play RTS or MOBA’s you could probably get away with a lighter bungee.
